The 2nd verse to this song goes: Whatever Jesus does for me, I’m always grateful. For He’s always doing good things for me. He won’t ever turn His back on me, oh no. For He always keeps His promises. He’s my best friend that I ever had and there hasn’t been time that He’s failed me yet. Regardless, friend or foe, always be grateful.
Just know whatever Jesus does for us, we should be grateful. He knows what path we are on and when we stray, He knows where that new path will lead. We will never understand why He does things in our lives, but we know it is done to make us stronger and better. We all have disappointed Him so many times, but He has never turned His back on us. Even when we knew we were doing wrong, He still stood by our side and guided us back to where He needed us to be.
People today will not always do that for us. If we don’t do something they want us to do, they retaliate. If we don’t agree with something they said, they get nasty with us. Our best friend, Jesus, is always there to pull us in when go too far. Calm us down, when we get too angry and give us peace when our lives are full of hell.
Today be grateful for everything you got. We may not have what we need, but we should praise God for what we got. Someone else has less than us and has run out of options, but we can still get what is needed with a little help. Think about what you are about to do before you turn your back on a situation or somebody, you never know, God may have you come back to it or them again. Pray a prayer of thanks. Thanking God for giving you what you have and blessing you with the things that are to come.
