Back To School – Let Us Pray

Father, we come today to say thank you.  Thank you for letting us see another day, thank you for deeming us worthy of your grace and mercy even though we know we don’t do the things that you ask of us.

Father, we pray for all the students everywhere going back to school.  We pray for all the souls walking through school doors this year.  We pray for the teachers, the administrators, the custodians and everyone working with the students this year.  Please lay your loving hands on the souls that come in troubled, so that they find peace.  We pray that students take up for one another when they see something is wrong, that they talk to students that they see sitting all alone.  Father we just pray that they become a friend to the friendless giving them hope that someone sees that they do exist and help them feel more comfortable about themselves.

Father, we pray for the school staff.  They are there to teach our children not to babysit them, act as their bodyguard, their referee or to even be a substitute parent…. they are there to teach.  We pray homes will be restored, children will once again respect their parents and parents will once again regain control over their children and lead them in the ways you have laid out for each of them.  Father, we need you now.

Jesus come through this place and touch every student, every parent, every school district, every school building, every school employee, everyone who is hearing/seeing this prayer right now Jesus.  Let us call out these students by name, call out the employees by name, call out each school by name and place them under the protection of your healing hands.  Heal their hearts, heal their souls, heal their minds so they can focus on school and watch over the teachers so they can focus on teaching them the best way they know how.

We praise you, we bless you, we claim the victory this year that souls will be saved, families once torn apart will be brought back together, those who may face trouble will get the help they need in time.  Father, we can’t thank you enough for watching over us when we can’t watch over ourselves.  Protect our babies Jesus.

This we ask in your son Jesus name …. Amen.
