It Is Time For Us To Get Motivated

Psalms 5:1 – Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation.

PSALMS 5:1 KJV “(To the chief Musician upon Nehiloth, A Psalm of David.) Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation.” (kingjamesbibleonline.org)

How many of us meditate?  I mean REALLY meditate?  Too erase carrying what the world placed on your shoulders and to clear your mind of all your problems and just focus ONLY on God.  Not many of us can say we do…why?  Too much is going on in our lives.  Whether it’s family, jobs or just life in general, we don’t always have, or make, the time to meditate.  If we do etch out time to meditate, we don’t do it long enough for it take an effect on our well-being or soul satisfaction.

When you meditate you are releasing everything that has you worried, afraid, angry, stressed and anything else that keeps you from doing what you need to do to get peace of mind.  When you come out of meditation you should feel completely relaxed and ready to take on the world and anything it throws at you.  If you don’t?  Then something has you captive so hard that even when you go to your “quiet place” it’s not quiet in your mind to let you get inner peace.

To “let go and let God” is not something that happens just because you say it.  You have to believe it, and your actions have to show it for it to take hold and protect you from the dangers seen, and unseen, of this world.

Today, practice true meditation. Start with 5 minutes and work your way up to meditating longer.  Clear you mind and think of things that always make you happy, that always gives you peace no matter what you are going through.  By all means, for those 5 minutes sing your favorite song (gospel, hip hop, country… or whatever) or think of that funny line in a movie or tv show that always made you laugh, hard, or even that great advice someone gave you that gets you through when you felt like giving up.  The end game is having those 5 minutes of peace where you are not worrying about what bills need to be paid, how to make food last until payday or if your child will be safe at school today.  For those 5 minutes (until you get the hang of it) concentrate on you and what God has for you.  You will be amazed at how God already knows your concerns and is waiting for you to give Him, at least, 5 minutes, to show you how He can bring you out of it.

Have a blessed day!!!!
