Psalms 9:9 – The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.

Thought for the week:  Because the Lord keeps blessing me, I won’t complain.

Always know that the Lord will be our refuge (shelter or protection from danger or distress) for the oppressed (to burden spiritually or mentally: weigh heavily upon) He will be our shelter in times of trouble.  Every day we are oppressed about something or another, and now with schools back in, that burden has now multiplied.  No matter what we face, the Lord will provide shelter in our times of trouble.  All we have to do is try to stay out of trouble in the first place.

This year we should stayed focus on the children to make sure they are safe and that we are providing the teachings of Jesus so when they walk into the schools glowing with His covering, so that others would want to have some of it as well.  It starts at home, not a school and not at church.  The early stages, in the teachings of Jesus and how to be a better person, starts at home.  It comes from what they are taught, what they see and what they hear around them.  Lead them down the right path and they too will lead others to the Kingdom of God.

Today pray for refuge for your situation.  Pray for refuge for any child already struggling with trying to make friends or trying to find a reason to live.  So much is put on the kids these days that they do not know how to release all that pent up stress and they do not know of other outlets that they can use to help them.  Teach our children to be that earthly angel that takes them in, to be their friend, to talk to them and find out what they need and to help them the best way they can to boost up their self-esteem. Teach our children what they can do help them even if it means just being their friend, listening to their troubles or getting them to the right adult that can help them.  When the child can’t come to the village, the village must go to the child.

Bless the children today Father!!!!
