Trying to avenge (take revenge) against those who have wronged you is not what God wants for us. We should try not to do things that would have us being held accountable when we get to glory.
We will be tested every moment, every minute, of every day, with every breath we take but the question is…will you pass or will you fail? This scripture tells us we are not to avenge (inflict harm in return for, or behalf of an injury or wrong done to oneself or another). You are not to bear a grudge, basically against anyone, and you are to love your neighbour as you love yourself.
Today practice loving everyone you meet, even the enemies. With everyone having a comment, opinion or just venting frustration about the state of our country…love will still prevail over all. No matter how much hate is given to us, we do not return that hate. No matter what someone has taken from us, we do not go and take something from them.
God has spoken. We are not to avenge ourselves or anyone else and we are not to hold grudges. We are to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. Love always wins over hate, our faith just has to be strong and our will has to be patient.
